Time to see the babies again- Week 11

We went to the doctor on May 2 and we were to see the babies again.  Baby A was calm and did exactly what we needed him/her to do.  Baby B was a different story!  The ultrasound took about an hour and most of the time was spent trying to get Baby B's measurements that were needed.  A sign of the future??? Here are a few of many ultrasound pictures-

And finally my favorite!!!

It all begins...

It all began the second week of March. After taking two tests, and not really knowing if we were seeing a positive result or not, we decided to get a digital test, which was much easier to read! Finally on March 8, 2013, I took a third pregnancy test and found out that we are REALLY pregnant! Can't argue with this, huh?

After taking some initial blood work, which turned out well, we were able to schedule our first prenatal appointment for April 4.  I never thought I would be able to wait that long for an ultrasound, but after a few long weeks we finally headed to the doctor.  I was very nervous because I didn't feel pregnant, and I had no morning sickness or any other time of the day sickness, either.  We walked in very nervous and unsure and walked out in shock after we saw not one, but two babies, on the ultrasound!  The babies are dichorionic diamniotic twins, which means they are in separate sacs and most likely are fraternal twins.  Here the twins are at 7 weeks-
Our next appointment was scheduled for April 16 with the midwife.  We were both so excited to see the babies again and Baby B was very excited to see us too!  Baby B was moving around and having a party, while Baby A was calm and still.  But mostly importantly both babies had a strong heartbeat.  We were both surprised at the growth of both babies in just 12 days. Here they are at 9 weeks-

We have another appointment this week, May 2.  I still haven't had any morning sickness, but I have been very tired.  I can't wait to get home from school each day for a nap.  Can't wait to see how much the twins have grown!
